THE CROSS GAZELLE BEET WASHER
The Cross Gazelle Beet Washer was first designed and manufactured under licence for Armer Salmon who sold in to beet growers throughout Europe. In the 1980s,1990s & early 2000s all beet machinery made by Cross held the Armer Salmon name. Today Cross keep the beet machinery in full production and continue to develop on machines which were there from the beginning with Armer Salmon like the Gazelle Beet Washer. This machine uses a combination of patented cleaning and chopping elements to ensure that you can deliver a quality clean sample of beet for any application. The Gazelle can be used for the dirtiest of beet crops to ensure clean and safe feed. This washer allows the beet to be loaded directly into the Tumbler by means of a small intake hopper and can be washed at various intensities depending on the operators desired cleanliness. After the washing tumbler the Beet exits directly into the feed chopper. The farmer can drive along the trough and feed directly to animals if they wish to do so. A slide off tray can also be fitted to the machine if you wish to wash whole beet and not chop. The machine can also be used to wash any other type of root vegetable including carrots, potatoes, parsnips etc.
Before & After
What a difference a wash makes
Cross Hippo 1 Beet Washers are guaranteed to remove all the soil and dirt from Beet or any root crop in order to provide a clean sample for animal feed, anaerobic digestion or sugar production. All Cross Washers can also wash vegetables for human consumption due to the vary speed controls. It is estimated that even the cleanest crop of beet to the visual eye still contains at least 5% dirt before washing. It has been proven that washing with a Cross Beet Washer can clean any root crop and separate the dirt no matter how clean it appears.
The Cross Range of stationary washers are fitted with Broekema Webs of your choice. A 50mm web can be fitted for larger crops such as beet or juice carrots. Smaller 30mm webs can be fitted then for potatoes or small root crops. This works well to stop crops falling through while ensuring cleaning still occurs. Custom Webs can be fitted at early request when ordering a machine.
Variable in size
Cross Beet Washer Choppers all come with a variable chop size option. This allows the operator to select the desired chop size while the machine is in operation with the simple pull of a lever.
The chopper is not only adjustable but can also be folded out of the way when whole beet is required. This can be carried out with out the need for any machine stoppage. A lever will allow the operator to fold the chopper up when the machine is in operation.
The Cross Range of beet washers can be fitted with numerous types of drive units. The Gazelle Beet Washer comes standard with PTO Drive but can be fitted with alternative drives on request. Each drive unit is built to suit the customer needs. There are two types of engine drive. A JCB 75kw engine is used for the larger output applications and a Silence Engine is used for the lower output jobs. With an electric drive the system fitted is fully electric hydraulic and is built to suit your power source and machine requirements. With PTO, the system supplied is built to suit your machine and tractor. The machine will never be under stress due to this.
