Cross Agricultural Engineering Ltd. is looking for a motivated individual to join our production team as a Trainee Spray Painter.
This is a trainee position for someone who wants to develop a long-term career in industrial spray painting and machinery finishing.
No previous spray-painting experience is required. Full training will be provided.

About the Company: Cross Agricultural Engineering Ltd. is one of Ireland’s leading manufacturers of agricultural and biogas machinery. From our modern manufacturing facility in Rathangan, Co. Kildare, we design, manufacture and support machinery used by farmers and contractors throughout Ireland and overseas.

What You will Learn: 

• Preparation of new machinery and components for painting

• Industrial spray-painting techniques

• Mixing and preparing paints correctly

• Applying primers and top coats

• Achieving a high-quality professional finish

• Correct use and maintenance of spray-painting equipment

• Masking and preparation of components

• Quality checking finished machinery

• Safe handling and storage of paints and materials

• Working alongside our fabrication, assembly and production teams

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare new machinery and components for painting

• Clean, degrease, sand and mask components as required

• Assist with mixing and preparing paints

• Spray paint machinery and components to a high standard

• Inspect finished work and correct any imperfections

• Maintain spray guns and painting equipment

• Keep the paint area clean, organised and efficient

• Follow all required health and safety procedures

• Work with the production team to ensure machines are completed on schedule

We are Looking for Someone who:

• Is practical and enjoys hands-on work

• Has a good eye for detail and takes pride in their work

• Is reliable, motivated and eager to develop their skills

• Can work independently and as part of a team

• Wants to develop a long-term career in machinery manufacturing

• Previous experience with machinery, bodywork, painting or engineering is an advantage but not essential
