Cross Agricultural Engineering Ltd. are currently seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join our expanding team. This is a full-time position based at the Cross factory in Rathangan, Co. Kildare.

About the Company: Cross is a leading engineering company who specialise in the design and manufacturing of farm, biogas, commercial and food processing machinery. We offer a top of the range service as standard to all our customers and would like to offer that training to our Graduate Engineers who get the opportunity to work with us. Currently there are 40 staff working in a state of the art factory and at Cross, our design engineers are given real responsibility from an early stage. Working in a modern office environment, you will take ownership of projects from concept through to production, collaborating closely with the workshop team. This ensures a varied, practical role where your designs are brought to life — not just drawn on a screen.

Graduate programme:  

As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will join our design team and play an active role in developing new and existing products. You will gain hands-on experience working from concept through to manufacture, collaborating closely with the workshop team to bring designs to life.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate to develop their skills in a practical, real-world engineering environment.

Requirements: 

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or related discipline

• Strong interest in design and engineering

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

• Experience with CAD software is desirable

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is an advantage

• Previous engineering or work placement experience is a bonus but not essential
