Cross Agricultural Engineering are hiring a truck driver to deliver machines and demo machines. All deliveries will need to be set up and demonstrated for new customers. This will be part of the truck driving job and training will be provided. Some demos and deliveries will also be carried out in our 828 Fendt Tractor.

Cross Agricultural Engineering Ltd. are currently seeking a truck driver and machinery operator to deliver machinery. This is a full time position and is based at the Cross factory in Rathangan Co.Kildare.

About the Company: Cross is a leading engineering company who specialise in the design and manufacturing of farm, biogas, commercial and food processing machinery. We currently deliver all our own machinery to customers and would like to continue providing that service. We also attend 5 trade shows in the UK and 2 in Ireland per year. We would like a truck driver to bring the machines to these trade shows and help us set up the stands (this area of the job will not take place until further notice because of trade shows being cancelled due to Covid-19)

About the Job: At Cross we pride ourselves in offering top of the range equipment to our drivers. The new driver will be using a 2016 Volvo FH Globetrotter and a stretchable Nooteboom trailer.

The driver will be doing the following roles:

Delivering machines Ireland wide to customers.
Delivering machines UK wide to customers.
Delivering to customers and trade shows we are attending

When there is no driving to be done the driver will be doing the following work:

Driving tractors for demonstrating machines to customers
Setting up machines on farms for customers
Setting up show stands with other staff when you get to the show
Driving the company van to collect parts in Dublin
Helping in the assembly shop to get machines ready for loading and delivery
Driver will not be put cleaning the yard

Pay: At Cross we agree payment at the interview stage. We can confirm that this is a very generous salary.

The job also comes with a company credit card to pay for any food when out in the truck and pay for truck stops (driver will never sleep on the side of a road).
