THE CROSS GRAIN MILL RANGE

The Cross Grain Mill Range is built in conjunction with superior mills to give a top quality machine. From the farmers machine, to a large scale contractor, the Cross range of Grain Mills has a machine for every need. The solid steel rollers ensure a uniform product regardless of moisture content. By crimping or dry rolling grain, the farmer can get more from their crop and their animals. The Cross Grain Mill is also capable of being used to apply additive to the grain while rolling. This can help to preserve the feed for the winter. Grain can be crimped or rolled at moisture levels up to 25%. Many added features are available, including road kits, additive applicator, and throughput calculator. Cross Grain Mills can also be used to crimp peas, beans or lentils. THE CROSS GRAIN MILL RANGE

The Cross Grain Mill Range comes with many features as standard. Their solid rollers mean they can crimp and dry roll a range of different grains as well as beans and peas. The large hopper means you can fill it and do other jobs around the yard while it rolls the grain. The bi-directional, hydraulically adjustable chute makes filling into trailers, or over walls easy. The chute can be angled as well as the head, to give ample throw to clear a wall or sideboard. The machine comes fully road legal, making it ideal for contractors moving from yard to yard. The machine is relatively easy to run, with even the largest model only needing 120hp, which is competitive on the market. All this makes the Cross Grain Mill the obvious choice on the markset today for crimping and rolling grain or pulses.

Grain Mills Overview

With or Without Additive

IMG_6116.JPG

All Cross Grain Mills are built with room for an applicator and IBC tank. The mill can be run with or without it, and they can be retrofit at any time. This flexibility allows the farmer or contactor to meet many needs with the one machine. Having a designated applicator tank makes for a better system than trying to mount one to a machine that doesn't have room, or transporting it separately. Additive allows the farmer to get the most from the crop, and can prevent the grain from heating in winter storage.

Rollers

Quality Guaranteed

The rollers in all Cross Grain Mills are made of solid steel. There are a few reasons for this:

  • Decreases Vibration

  • Improves roll quality

  • Increases momentum of rollers, takes pressure off tractor once up and running

The ribs on the roller control the throughput of grain. This means the user can fill the hopper and not be worried that the weight will cause the grain to fly through the rollers.

Sprung Roller

One roller is on springs. This keeps constant pressure on the grain, and also allows some give if a stone or other foreign body gets into the rollers. This should prevent stone damage on the rollers, prolonging the life of the machine.
