THE CROSS DIESEL FUEL BOWSER RANGE

The Cross Diesel Fuel Bowser range is manufactured in capacities from 5,000 litres to 15,000 litres. All bowsers can be purchased with numerous pumping and tank options. Single skin bowsers for farm use or bunded twin skin bowsers for commercial use are both available from Cross.
Cross Industrial Tankers are manufactured using 6mm high quality steel. These tanks can also be made in stainless or have stainless divisions for chemicals such as Adblue. All tankers are mounted on a strong internal chassis for extra strength. To provide a high level of corrosion resistance all Cross slurry tankers are given two coats of priming paint followed by two finish coats of 2 pack paint giving long lasting durability.

Cross can offer split section bowsers. For example this might be 9000 litres of diesel, 1000 litres of Adblue contained in a split stainless tank and a hydraulic or engine oil tank contained in the dished end.

Bunded bowsers are built to strict HazChem standards and can be used on all commercial, industrial or motorway industries. Bunded bowsers can also have bunded Adblue stainless tanks built into the tanker.

All bowsers manufactured by Cross come with either a hydraulic or an electric diesel pump and a digital or analogue read out. This can also be combined with an auto shut off lance

Most bowsers sold are fitted with a manual reel or a spring-loaded retractable reel but a large hydraulic reel can also be fitted to the rear of the machine. All fuel bowsers are fitted with a dual filter system to filter the outgoing fuel before it enters the pump and leaves through the fill nozzle.

Pump Options

Electric or Hydraulic

All Cross Fuel Bowsers come with 2 pump options.

  1. 12/24v electric pump with clip connections

  2. Hydraulic Drive pump for higher outputs.

All pumped diesel comes standard litres read out in analogue or digital.  All diesel passes through an inline filter before exiting the hose.

Bunded Tanks

Twin Wall Tankers

All Cross Fuel Bowsers can be purchased in twin or single wall specification. Twin wall bowsers are needed for all industrial, commercial and road going applications.

Cross Bunded tanks use twin 6mm steel skins to ensure no damage or leakage occurs to the inner tank. Conventional HGV tankers only  use 4mm thickness steel. Cross prefer 6mm to ensure extra strength.

Internal Adblue tanks built into the tank can also be manufactured out of a bunded stainless steel material within mild steel tanker. This will stop any corrosion caused by Adblue.

Bunded tankers are manufactured to comply with any HazChem regulations and are fully CE certified.

Split Bowsers

Internal Built Tanks

All Cross Fuel Bowsers can be purchased with multiple compartments built within the overall tank. This allows the operator to carry many fuels or liquids in quantities to the one job site. The most popular liquids would be Diesel, Adblue, Oil, etc.

Split compartments can be manufactured from stainless steel for items such as Adblue.

Each compartment can have individual pumps for pumping at the same or separate times.

Reels

Make it Easy

All Fuel Bowsers can be fitted with spring loaded manual control retractable reels or Hydraulic EX Reels.

The spring loaded reels are mounted in one of the boswer tool boxes and can be locked.

The large Hydraulic XL reel is mounted on the back of the bowser. This is used in applications where more output and heavier hoses are needed. This is also a much longer hose than the spring loaded reel. This reel is retracted via hydraulic valve which is fitted with a pressure relief so no damage is caused.

Fuel Managment

Same Quality Paint

All Cross Fuel Bowsers can be fitted with fuel management systems along with the standard pumping units.

These systems allows:

  • Track Fuel Usage

  • Track Vehicle fuel consumption
(Registration and kilometres can be entered)

  • Record who gets diesel

  • Record times of diesel filling

  • Up to 80 users can be added to the system and can access fuel with a key fob or pin code.

  • All info is linked to a PC and monthly/weekly reports can be generated

External Tanks

Steel or Stainless Steel

Some customers do not need the capacity of an internal division tank within the fuel bowser. Due to this an external tank can be built on the side of the fuel bowser.

This allows the operator to store other liquids in smaller quantities. These tanks can also be made from stainless steel and are very commonly used for Adblue or hydraulic/engine oil.

These tanks can also be bunded at the request of the customer.

Tool Boxes

Storage is Key

All fuel bowsers come with one tool box as standard. This is a lockable enclosure and is used to hold the pump and nozzles. The manual type spring loaded reels can also be stored in here.

Open top or a secondary lockable tool box can also be fitted on the opposite side of the bowser. This can be used for more pumps, more reels, holding oil cans or any other items.

Axle Choices

dsadsadsa.png

The Cross Range of Industrial Tankers are fitted with various axles from Granning or Distag. Fuel Bowsers come standard with a 10 Stud Commercial Axle. This axle type has a 420 x 180mm brake shoe.  All axles are fitted with hydraulic brakes as standard. There is also the option of air brakes if needed.  Cross Agricultural Engineering tankers are one of the lowest tankers on the market to begin with before a stepped axle. This is due to the axle being mounted onto the internal chassis on the tanker and not the tanker barrel itself.

Braking System

Air or Hydraulics or Both

All Cross Tankers come with a few different braking options.

Hydraulic

This option is standard across the full range of Cross Tankers.

Air

The option is a great upgrade for a user with a higher speed tractor who does a lot of road transportation and wants  smoother  and more responsive braking

Air & Hydraulics

This suits the operator with a few different tractors. The tanker can be used on air with a higher speed tractor and used on hydraulic brakes for an older tractor.
